Rust stains on concrete, pavers, stucco or stone are some of the most frustrating, most permanent-looking marks a homeowner can face. They come from a dozen sources: sprinkler heads, lawn fertilizer (which is iron-rich), metal patio furniture, BBQ grills, irrigation pipes, garage battery acid, and well water. Pressure washing alone will not touch them. Bleach will not touch them. Most "rust removers" sold at the big-box store are actually concrete acids that will burn the substrate worse than the rust ever did.
AquaShine uses professional-grade rust removers based on oxalic acid and reducing agents specifically formulated to break the chemical bond between iron oxide and concrete or stone — without bleaching, etching or burning the underlying surface. The product is applied to the stain, agitated lightly, allowed to dwell, and rinsed clean. Most stains lift completely in a single application. Deeper, older stains may require two passes.
We treat rust from every common source: sprinkler over-spray, fertilizer streaks, patio-furniture feet, well-water mineral deposits, metal mailbox bases, electrical box leakage, and battery acid in garages. We treat every common substrate: poured concrete, stamped concrete, pavers, stucco, brick, travertine, flagstone and natural stone.
Pricing depends on the size and number of stains. Most spot treatments fall in the $79–$249 range. Whole-driveway or whole-patio rust treatments are quoted separately on-site, but typically run $179–$499. The treatment is fast — most jobs take under an hour, and the results are dramatic. The stains that looked permanent for years are gone in a single visit, with no damage to the surface they were on.
